The second stage of falcon training is "waving", the latter of which is considered an important stage to accustom the falcon to identifying its target and swooping down on it, so that the falconer places a piece of meat on a pile of feathers and waves it in the sky until the falcon swoops down on it, this process continues for a whole week. During the period of taming the falcon, the falconer maintains the strength of his bird by feeding it regularly, to maintain its health. On hunting trips, the falcon must remain hungry until it catches its prey, so that it has a motive to attack. And he pounces on the latter, and it finally presents itself to him so that he can satisfy himself with it. The hunter does not depend on what he catches as a means of getting rich, but rather this royal sport remains a mere hobby for many.
كيف يمكن للصقار ان يروض صقره و يدربه؟
هدف الصقار دائما إلى ترويض صقره وذلك بالتخفيف من عدوانيته تجاه البشر، ويتم ذلك عبر مراحل : المرحلة الأولى تتمحور حول تدريب الصقر على الإنتقال من الوكر إلى المنقلة، هذه المرحلة هي سهلة نوعا ما، ظنا منه أنه سيحصل على غذائه منها، فيستمر الصقار بتكرار هذه الخطوة حتى يتمرن الصقر على الإنتقال إلى المنقلة دون خوف. المرحلة الثانية من مراحل تدريب الصقر هي ” التلواح “، هذه الأخيرة التي تعتبر مرحلة مهمة لتعويد الصقر على تحديد هدفه والإنقضاض عليه، بحيث يقوم الصقار بوضع قطعة لحم على كومة من الريش ويلوح بها في السماء إلى أن ينقض عليها الصقر، تستمر هذه العملية مدة أسبوع كامل. وطيلة مدة ترويض الصقر، يحافظ الصقار على قوة طائره وذلك بتغذيته بشكل منتظم، للحفاظ على صحته. وفي خرجات الصيد، يجب أن يبقى الصقر جائعا إلى أن يصيد فريسته، كي يكون له دافع للهجوم. والإنقضاض على هذه الأخيرة فتقدم له في الأخير كي يشبع نفسه منها، فالصياد لا يعتمد على ما اصطاده كوسيلة للغنى وإنما تبقى هذه الرياضة الملكية مجرد هواية للكثير
